Stand-up Comedy

A few stories from my time on stage.

I started performing stand-up comedy in college, drawn to the challenge of turning everyday observations into stories that could make a room laugh. Along the way, I also helped organize an IFoA actuary-themed stand-up comedy event, bringing together actuarial professionals and students around a very different kind of stage.

It taught me to pay attention to timing, audience reactions, and the small details that make an idea land. I don’t perform nearly as often today, but I still enjoy the same process: noticing something interesting, finding the structure behind it, and figuring out the clearest way to tell the story.
